Once Lost Now Proud
Self-invention is never over until we allow it to be. We can all be on the receiving end of some pretty impressive curveballs in life, some we never imagine or expect, and we can find ourselves a bit lost; it's the decisions we make at that moment that can change everything. In this podcast, I discuss areas of my life where I felt utterly lost which I'm sure some can relate to. I'll also be joined by some remarkable guests who will be baring all, discussing some of the most painful and challenging times in their lives, with a focus on how they kept going when everything seemed against them and how they've ended up very proud of where they are today. It is my hope that by listening to this podcast it will inspire you to take a leap of faith, because you never know what's waiting for you on the other side!
Once Lost Now Proud
Once Lost Now Proud - My Reason
This story is one of heartbreak, hope, love and determination to have the life and experiences I dreamed about as a young girl. it's a past that I don't wish on my worst enemy, but I now realise that it's been the thing that has kept me as driven as I am today. It doesn't define me, but it shaped me into the passionate ball of strength I am today.
Domestic abuse is at an all-time high, and I felt the need to share my story, hoping it may help others that find themselves in a similar situation.
I believe everything happens for a reason, and who knows, maybe this happened to me for Once Lost Now Proud to come to fruition.
In this episode, I go back to a place in time where I found myself in a world of physical and mental abuse and very unsettled. I felt completely ashamed of this moment in my life when, in fact, I should feel proud for getting this far when so many don't.
I knew in my heart I was meant for more.
I've been fortunate enough to have had the incredible support of family and friends, which I'm eternally grateful for. I've also had some great mentors along the way.
Now I'm on the journey that dreams are made of; I promised myself better, and I've never looked back.
